In January 1983, then Minister and Sister Harris and their four children began Wednesday evening services in their basement. Two months later, on March 19th, the Lord Blessed them with their first building located at 909 Nassau Road. They held their first service there on Easter Sunday, April 3, 1983. From the very first service, the anointing of God was upon the Ministry.

Minister Harris was ordained an Elder in August of 1983 by the Presider of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Bishop William Bonner. Grace Ministry was on the move, we were fruitful and began to multiply. In less than three years (December 29, 1995) we moved into our present church and held worship services. The bank permitted us to occupy the building at absolutely no cost until five months later when we were able to purchase the building. This was a miracle from God. Over the next two years, the bank contributed $2,000.00 to the church because we had been such good customers. In February 1986, Bishop Bonner dedicated the building. In March we began to install carpeting and a baptismal pool, all on faith, because we did not yet own the building. We did not make our first mortgage payment until July 1986. We were able to do great things because of the great GOD that we serve.

Less than seven years later, March 1993, we paid off the mortgage. Eight years before it would have been due in June 2001, all because the people had a mind to work with the vision God had given to our Pastor. In addition to the improvements made in the church sanctuary, the church purchased land from Nassau County to construct a Child Care Center. The $600,000.00 Sure Foundation Child Care Center was completed in May 1995. We paid off this mortgage in the Spring of 1997. We then purchased the corner property which connects the Sure Foundation Child Care Center and the Church and built the Grace Multi-Cultural Center.

We thank God for our four choirs: Voices of Judah, Sanctuary Choir, Agape Choir, Mass Choir and Youth Choirs. We have a bible school, book ministry, tape ministry, Dorcas, Hospitality, Scholarship, Baptismal and Altar Worker's Committees. We have a Sunday School with seven ongoing classes, and a breakfast program. In addition to our Missionary, Brotherhood, Youth for Christ, Young Willing Workers for Christ, Women's Council and Drama Ministry, we also have a Children's Savings Union. We also thank God for our 1993, 1994 & 2008 Church Vans.

Within our Missionary Department, we have a caring Ministry that ministers in the home, The A. Holly Patterson Nursing Home and in other areas. The Lord has led Pastor Novella Harris to start a Praise and Worship Movement Troupe. It is a tremendous delight to see them perform for God.

We're praising God for our Foreign Ministry Crusade Team. God has taken them to India and Africa. In addition, we are grateful for our Prison Ministry, our Ministers, Deacons and their wives organization, Mother's Board and Pastoral Love Committee. Finally in addition to our 12:00 Noon Prayer, we have a very strong and devoted group of people that come from all over for our 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM  Tuesday through Thursday Intercessory Prayer.

God has permitted us to be a Blessing to the Body of Christ in general, as well as to our local community, we are the Church that's making a difference in our community. To God Be the Glory!

With each challenge we have encountered, we became stronger in our faith. We may provide links to other sites that provide more detail on our church history or particular events in our future.

We invite you to become a part of the church today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
